About us
The Farmer's House is a clean lifestyle initiative, structured by people with decades of international experience and motivation. It consists of two farms, a natural and organic farm products outlet, a book store and a weekly market for fresh farm produce. The farms are built and managed as natural ecosystems, where birds, insects and naturally occurring biota are conserved. The Bookstore is hand curated with care, with over 20 genres of highly acclaimed books. The natural and organic farm products outlet has over 20 types of honey and value added products grown and made in our own farms. The weekly market has entered its 6th year and only dispenses fresh farm produce grown by us and close associates.
The enterprise believes in custom made services to people according to their need from within the resources we have and does not work like any other organic outlet that buys and sells. Even book readers are encouraged to visit the farm and read under a tree the books they bought at the store.

Padma farms
About four acres in total of two pristine natural farms at some 10 kms to the west of Mysore city, Padma farms are central to the concept of Farmer's House. They are conservation sites where over 430 species of insects are sheltered from the chemical warfare the pesticide spraying farmers engage in. Over 100 species of birds have been identified over time. Vegetables and fruits are grown in harmony with nature and harvested twice a week for the market convened at Farmer's House
Organic outlet
Over 20 types of honey, made in natural farms around the country are on the shelf at the outlet in the city. Visitors are invited to taste the honey before they buy. This is the only honey parlour in the city and honey is not only dispensed from the store, but also couriered around the country. Besides, the outlet also has on shelf a number of products that are made at Padma farms like hand cleaned tamarind, cotton, turmeric, pepper, bee wax cream, dried leaves of moringa, brahmi, etc.
Silverfish books
Over 4,000 titles and nearly 10,000 volumes of best sellers are curated meticulously and hosted on the shelf. No other book store in the city has this uniquely curated variety with over 20 genres, including fiction, classics, self help, biography, spirituality, history, mystery, etc. A whole shelf of Kannada books too are curated and hosted.
Sunday market
Farmer's House Sunday Market is over 265 weeks old. Fresh produce grown only at Padma Farms is sold in the market, along with 2 other farmer associates who believe in the principle of nature conservation as a method of farming. The market connects people to the farm and promotes the idea that the food consumers should clearly know where and how their food is grown
